Subtitles in minutes. No fuss.

We use OpenAI Whisper API (automatic speech recognition) on the backend. It’s fast and high-quality, but no speech-to-text model is 100% perfect—expect minor errors, especially with background noise, overlapping speakers, heavy accents, or domain-specific jargon.

• Upload clear audio (reduce music/noise, avoid re-recorded audio).
• Select the correct Language instead of Auto when possible.
• Use shorter clips (long files amplify timing drift and error propagation).
• Record at 44.1/48kHz, 96–192kbps+ for compressed formats.
• Speak close to the mic; avoid strong reverb.

Many major languages are supported. You can let the app detect automatically or pick one explicitly (English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Indonesian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, …).

We generate both .srt and .vtt files (text subtitles). They are not burned into the video. You can import them into YouTube, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.

Minor timing drift can happen on very long files. You can trim/merge lines in your editor if needed. Line breaks and punctuation are inferred and may need light editing for perfect styling.

Your file is uploaded to our secure storage to create subtitles, and audio is sent to our transcription provider (OpenAI Whisper API) solely for processing. Download links use time-limited signed URLs. We don’t sell your data. For sensitive work, prefer clean audio and delete files after download in your workspace.

• Upload fails: try MP4/M4A/MP3/WAV/WEBM/FLAC/OGG/MPEG, or a different browser.
• CORS/network: refresh the page and retry; large uploads may need a stable connection.
• Quota exceeded: wait until tomorrow or upgrade your plan.
• Weird symbols: set the language explicitly instead of Auto.
